A fellow tweeter ask me if I was a Muslim. No, I ma not. I was raised in the Baptist church but my parents liked to travel on weekends. (then we slept in our car or on top of it; at roadside picnic areas.now days you would call it camping). My father would come home Friday after work and we would leave out. Wherever we were Sunday Morning, we would attend the nearest church no matter what faith,(as long as it was Protestant) So I grew up with a rich experience of different faiths. Today, I belong to and attend a Methodist church, My son attended a Catholic school, My wife, son and I were Boy Scout leaders sponsored by a Presbyterian Church, Then our troop moved to a non denominational Black Church (Celebration of Life) then a Black Baptist church. I have worked with Jewish friends, and have attended Synagogue, and Bar Mitzvah with these friends. I have attended Buddhist Temple with some other friends. I actually joined and attended the 'Celebration of Life' church while they sponsored our troop. I have never attended a Muslim Mosque but I would like to before I leave this earth. With all these experiences I have learned one thing. Although the traditions and rituals may be different; most religious people believe in reverence to their Creator; it is wrong to do harm to others; and their religion is the only true religion. Personally I think if you follow these convictions and don't try to push your religion on someone else your Creator will look kindly on you.
